iPhone 4.0 Wishlist
Over the past week the launch of Android 2.0 got me thinking about what I feel is necessary for iPhone 4.0 to have to stay on top. As it stands right now, from an avid iPhone user and someone whose invested literally hundreds of dollars in apps, Android is winning. So without any further hesitation my iPhone 4.0 Must Have Feature List…
Google Navigation. Let Google do whatever it wants Apple. If it wants to incorporate latitude into the maps app do it as long as they bring the very same navi-app as on Android 2.0 to the system.
Open up and make spotlight better. One of the glaring lags features wise on the iPhone is integrated search. I want location results from spotlight integrated into maps; I want google search results; I want to be able to search apps like Omnifocus or even say Grooveshark from spotlight.
Widgets. I was thinking that widgets can replace the iPod popup. They could also be a substitute for multitasking.
Integrated MMS/SMS/Jabber/AIM app. Something akin to what the Pre has along with the facebook status in address book. Don’t worry you won’t be stepping on Beejives toes they’ll offer way more services and features for power users.
FIX THE APP STORE! I think we all know what that’s about.
Make the lockscreen useful. New emails, chats, etc…. Maybe some sort of link into widgets.
That’s it. Not too much. How about you?
