Apple TV, The Mystery Continues

So Apple dropped the 40gb Apple TV while keeping the 160gb and dropping the price. Not only that but they’ve completed blocked the Apple TV in the refurbished store. Why do that? It’s clear that Apple is now targeting the larger 150gb+ sized Apple TV as the default. I don’t think we will see a substantial hardware update anytime soon I do however believe that a major software update is on its way. A software update that will take advantage of two new iTunes Store features including LP’s and movie Extras. Secondly the larger hard drive could allow for streaming of video content. It’s AppleTV’s biggest drawback and one that I would hope Steve Jobs & Co. would understand that people want to buy music alacarte but would much rather have an all you can eat subscription model for video content like TV and Movies. A larger hard drive allows for the storing of music and photos etc… as well as HD video streaming.
