Skynet Lives In Google

As much as I absolutley love Google (except for Gmail right now, me and MobileMe are having an affair shhhhh dont tell Gmail) and I think they piss excellence I’m not a fan of the news that they will soon be launching an operating system. At some point you have to say okay Google you control our email, our documents, our health records, etc… but an OS is a bit much and puts TOO MUCH CONTROL in one place. Look at what happend when Gmail went down for all of four hours, the world erupted into flames. Imagine when the entire gCloud goes down and your OS relies on it.

I’m a fan of seperation of powers. And in the back of my head I see a Skynetish doomsday scenario with Google as the unwitting antagonist.
