Skype-gate 2011
This morning I decided I’d take it up where David Chartier left off last night I started chatting it up this morning with Andrew Borovsky from 80/20, the studio behind the Skype 5 Mac design. So I present to you….
Skype-gate 2011, the real story
80/20 & Skype think that their product is an entertainment app not a productivity app.

iPad Future Paradox
When I’m reading news about things only happening on planet Earth on my iPad in the morning the illusion of me being in “the future” is broken. Can we colonize some other planet already! I expect to see some sorta of Starnet(that’s what I’m calling the internet that traverses across space to other planets, NASA feel free to use it when you create the conditions for my...
Well thats weird. I didn’t see a skateboard in this video at all sorta seems like false advertising.

Apple iTunes Home Sharing tutorial goes live same... →
And it’s no coincidence of course. But what people are missing is this is exactly the interface for iTunes Cloud that Apple will introduce they’re all but saying that with this release. And the home sharing integration on an iPad and iPhone are phenomenal the only problem of course is that you have to be on the same Wifi Network. I absolutely expect that limitation to go away come June...

iOS 5 Likely Pushed To The Fall After A Cloud... →
@parislemon ‘s hypothesis is interesting but I don’t really see Apple doing this with Steve MIA. It would be a sign of weakness or at least it would be taken as a sign of weakness. Whats that Steve isn’t around and the regular update schedule is already off everyone panic. Thats how the pundits will play it, and Apple knows it.

I wondered if it would somehow be possible to retrofit the original iPad to utilize the Smart Cover. Turns out, it’s actually pretty simple.
Squealing with glee right now.
AT&T to Buy T-Mobile USA for $39 Billion →
Whoa totally didn’t see that coming.
Apparently Russia is not happy with the force of the Libyan no fly zone. It is however okay with innocent civilians being slaughtered it’s not okay with “innocent” soldiers willing to kill their own people being killed. Well aren’t they just great humanitarians.

Ian Pannell in Benghazi: “The fighter jet… span out of control and plummeted to the ground”
Great video of that fighter jet going down from the BBC. What happens if they do breach the city? What will the UN and I guess more importantly NATO do?

The New York Times Digital Subscriber Pricing →
These prices desperatly need to be cut down a little bit for pure price marketing reasons. Compared to outlets like The Daily at $.99 a week they’re gonna have a hard time grabbing subscribers. Don’t get me wrong it may very well be warranted, the price, to cover their costs. But thats why the need to restructure around a more approachable price. Heres how this SHOULD break...

We’re turning up the volume for our Austin trip—we’ll be at the FADER FORT by FIAT and the Vice afterparty, ‘Vice Kills Texas’. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t time to appreciate the great mix of music that’s newly available this week.
