On the LOST Finale
I’ve heard alot of complaints about the LOST finale; they didn’t wrap up X or everyones dead! But in all honesty I don’t think they could have crafted a better ending. The circular nature of it all the beginning and the end are one and the same but what’s really important is that they did kill everyone. The writers didnt kill everyone at once of course, rather throughout...

Adii Rockstar: Tumblr: Justified →
So yesterday I had the opportunity of meeting up with the Tumblr crew and beyond being an awesome bunch of people, I also got some insight into the company / platform / community that they are busy building. When I moved over to Tumblr in March, I had a few “concerns” about the changes I would… I couldn’t agree more with Adii Rockstar’s sentiment about the community behind...

– Engadget, Android 2.2 Hands On. So then.. it would seem… that all of Apple’s criticisms are correct? Poor battery life, terrible performance, content still has to be re-optimized for flash for mobile so it’s not really the whole web at your fingertips. Thats what you’re...

a-martin: A source at Paramount, the studio behind the film, toldAccess that Megan, who played star Shia LaBeouf ’s love interest in the franchise, would not be brought back for the third movie. DARN. Truly there is a God and he is mighty and just.

Non iPhone WWDC Wishes
There are only two. iTunes Cloud Safari 5. My hope would be a revamped Safari 5 that is as fast or faster than Chrome, and that has support for extensions, plugins, addons, whatever. Also maybe an awesomebar and bookmarks tagging. PLEASE APPLE Chrome’s dominance is embarrassing seeing as you did create Webkit.

Why the Kindle blows
Some of you may know I am responsible for all things new media at a book publisher, one my many responsibilities is to ensure our books work on ebook readers like the Amazon Kindle, iPad, and Nook. You should also know I freaking love my iPad and I think the Nook is a much nicer device than the Kindle. But the primary reason isn’t that either device is leaps and bounds better as a book...

Gruber, Paczkowski, Geschke, Flash →
ddemaree: John Gruber comments on an interview by John Paczkowski with Adobe co-founder Chuck Geschke, in which the following exchange happened: JP: Why isn’t Flash an open standard? CG: It is. What are you talking about? I would like to join the meta-meta-conversation to address this statement by Geschke: With the standards that we have built and made open to the entire world, we’ve...

guillee: His “21st-century socialism” is a precarious construction. The brief fall in the oil price of 2008-09 was enough to sink Venezuela’s economy into stagflation—even as the rest of Latin America is enjoying vigorous economic recovery. Venezuelans are suffering declining real wages, persistent shortages of staple goods (meat is the latest to become scarce) and daily power cuts. The...

iTunes + Lala = AppleTV Win
Rumored by Macsimum News by way of TUAW Apple is supposedly set to début their iTunes cloud service at WWDC. Wouldn’t surprise me, début doesn’t mean launch. But as I thought about what iTunes cloud or as Macsimum is calling it iTunesReplay (catchy name) would mean for mobile devices and drive space on our laptops and desktops I also thought about what this service could do for the oft...
